Most of This Is True is an evening-length work-in-progress to be completed in the spring or fall of 2008. Over the course of 2007 I will be showing a series of studies for different sections as they are created. In Most Of This is True, an event has occurred that involves all four performers. Their characters are intimately inter-linked through close friendships, family relationships, and/or love relationships. The characters’ perceptions of the central event, and of their relationships to each other, are all flawed: some willfully, some innocently. They attempt to control each other’s perceptions, as well as the audience’s, through what they say and how they move. The nature of that event is mysterious at first, as are the characters’ relationships to each other. Over the course of the piece, more and more information is revealed to the audience. Most of that information is true, but some of it is either untrue or misleading.
